The Akwesasne Indians are visiting tonight to take on the Knights at 8 pm. Nepean and Akwesasne have had several close games this year and last and they have always been entertaining lacrosse. It should be a fun one with several new young faces in the line up! |

The Knights had a mid-week game against Akwesasne last night and were able to pull out a road win. In the middle of a tough 5 game road stretch, the Knights had a game against the Far East rivals the Akwesasne Indians. The team started off the game slowly, only scoring once in the first two periods, but solid goaltending kept them in the game long enough to allow them to eventually pull ahead of Akwesasne in the third. Scoring for Ottawa were rookies JP Kealey and Ulysses Toulouse, aloing with veteran Brett Jackson who scored a nice breakaway goal. The Knights finish off their road game stretch this weekend taking on Halton Hills and Mississauga. |

The Knights home opener for the 2010 season was an exciting affair, with plenty of action and lots of promise for both sides. The Knights couldn't solve the Hawks goaltender, who kept them in the game for most of the night. Nepean fell behind in the game and couldn't catch up until later in the third period when, sparked by the play of Graham Murray the Knights mounted a comeback. They ran out of time before they could complete the rally, but gave it a great effort.
The next Knights home game is May 18th against Gloucester at 8 pm - Barbara Ann Scott Arena. |
