Knights U19 Field Lacrosse Coach WantedThe Ottawa Knights are looking for a coach for their U19 field lacrosse program. The team will not be playing in the Ontario league this year as the costs of travel and time are too high. Rather we are going to become a tournament team entering as much as four tournaments this fall. If you are interested in coaching at this level, please contact me at gm@nepeanknights.com. |
U19 Field Lacrosse - 2007All those interested in U19 play this year please contact Dean Joncas by email, gm@nepeanknights.com . We will not be playing in the Ontario league this year as the costs of travel and time are too high. Rather we are going to become a tournament team entering as much as four tournaments this fall. I would like to get a feel as to the number of players that are interested in playing this fall. There will be a new coach running the program so time is a factor here as tournaments become available towards the end of August but we need to act soon. Contact any of your friends that might be interested as well, once a list of names is collected we will be in contact with you concerning the schedule and list of possible tournaments. |
Knights U19 Field LacrosseWell the time of the year is upon us and field is getting started. As mentioned previously the U19 program has taken a different turn this year. We will function as a tournament team and seek exhibition games. There are a number of tournaments available, each with its own structure and cost. I will need to know if we are able to put teams together for tournaments so I can register for them. The initial cost for the registration will not be as high as past years as we have no league fees to cover. There will be a cost to each player for each tournament we enter and possibly a small cost for any exhibition games. I am hoping since we are doing the travel they will pick up the ref costs for the exhibition games. Having said that I need to know by email response if you're interested in playing in any of the tournaments I mention. I will be looking for more and trying to keep them as close as possible. |
Ottawa Knights Win Carleton Tournament
Congratulations to the Ottawa Knights who, in their first games of the year, went out and won the Carleton Tournament. The Knights went 4-0 for the day taking Carleton Jr Varsity 6-5 in a tight opener. The second game was against Jean de Brebeuf CEGEP and the Knights came out on top of that one 9-4. With two wins under their belts, the Knights moved on to play the Montreal Men's Lacrosse Club who had also produced two wins. Ottawa took this one 9-5. The Knighst finished off the day and clinched the tournament with a fourth win over Jean de Brebeuf by a margin of 7-2 to finish off the day.
